  • All-purpose flour – 1½ cups (180g)
  • Baking powder – 1½ tsp
  • Baking soda – ½ tsp
  • Salt – a pinch
  • Thick curd/yogurt – ½ cup (120g)
  • Milk – ½ cup (120ml), room temperature

  • Oil (neutral like sunflower) – ½ cup (120ml)
  • Powdered sugar – ¾ cup (150g)
  • Vanilla extract – 1½ tsp
  • Vinegar or lemon juice – 1 tsp
  • Chocolate chips – ¾ cup (semi-sweet or dark)
  • 1 tbsp flour (to coat chocolate chips)

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease and line a 7 or 8-inch round cake pan.
  2. Coat chocolate chips with 1 tbsp of flour to prevent them from sinking.
  3. In a bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  4. In another large bowl, whisk together curd and sugar until smooth and creamy.
  5. Add oil, milk, vinegar/lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
